Closing Date: Not specified Start Date: 2025-06-12 ## Purpose of the Role Consult with customers to understand their needs, propose suitable products and services based on quality, convenience, and price, and ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. ## Key Responsibilities Apply appropriate sales processes to build customer relationships and meet sales targets Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Engage customers to understand their needs and guide their choices Provide appropriate solutions through products and services Identify new business opportunities by understanding market trends Follow up on sales leads Liaise with Department Manager and merchandisers on preferred products Maintain outstanding store conditions (layout, cleanliness, pricing, product availability, visual merchandising) Participate in the department’s commercial action plan Assist customers throughout their project (before, during, and after sales) Propose personalized solutions, including products and services (e.g., delivery, installation) Work autonomously Support sales by maintaining a fully stocked store ## Requirements Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent Proven experience as a sales consultant (hardware experience advantageous) Passion for customer service Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality Problem-solving skills Understanding of pricing methodologies Exceptional customer service skills Proficiency in English Curious and proactive Strong relationship management Hardworking and leads by example Ability to manage a customer portfolio at all sales stages (before, during, after) Comfortable using multiple sales channels (emails, WhatsApp, phone) Ability to multitask Application Notes ## Company Overview Leroy Merlin is a global leader in the DIY retail market, offering solutions for home improvement projects, including plumbing, lighting, heating, electricity, sanitation, security, cooking, gardening, and more.
