    POST: Administration Clerk REF NO: 3/3/1/63/2026 DIRECTORATE: Cooperatives EMPLOYER: Department of Agriculture LOCATION: Pretoria, Gauteng TYPE: Permanent / Full-time SALARY: R237 453 per annum (Level 05) CLOSING DATE: 07 August 2026 at 16:00 CIRCULAR: Public Service Vacancy Circular 26 of 2026 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Grade 12 certificate (Matric) • No experience required SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Knowledge of clerical duties and the ability to capture data • Ability to operate a computer and collect statistics • Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service • Language skills and good communication (verbal and written) • Planning and organising • Computer literacy • Interpersonal relations • Flexibility and ability to work in a team KEY DUTIES Render general clerical support services: • Record, organise, store, capture and retrieve correspondence and data • Update registers and statistics • Handle routine enquiries • Make photocopies and receive or send facsimiles • Distribute documents and packages to stakeholders • Keep and maintain the filing system for the component • Type letters and other correspondence when required • Keep and maintain the incoming and outgoing document register Provide supply chain clerical support: • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on procurement of goods and services • Obtain quotations and complete procurement forms for standard office items • Stock control of office stationery • Keep and maintain the asset register of the component Provide personnel administration clerical support: • Maintain a leave register for the component • Keep and maintain personnel records • Keep and maintain the attendance register • Arrange travelling and accommodation Provide financial administration support: • Capture and update expenditure in the component • Check correctness of subsistence and travel claims and submit for approval • Handle telephone accounts and petty cash for the component HOW TO APPLY 1.
